If you have extra Bastion Cells, they can be recycled into 3 ARC Alloy and 1 Advanced Mechanical Component, or sold for 3,000 in-game currency (down from 5,000 in a previous patch). The most reliable spawn point for Bastions is the lower loading bay area in Stella Montis. This location is ideal because you can attack the Bastion from upper levels, where it's harder for the machine to reach you, and there's plenty of cover to retreat and heal. Every visit to this area typically guarantees one Bastion, making it perfect for solo or team farming.

Other top maps for Bastion spawns include Dam Battlegrounds (east of Water Treatment Control, near power plant cooling towers) and Spaceport (southwest of west/east hangars, near launch towers). Blue Gate also has frequent Bastion spawns on both surface and underground levels, though underground Bastions are more dangerous due to tight corridors and limited escape routes.

Step 2: Defeat Bastions Efficiently (Key Combat Tips)

Bastions are heavily armored, with 2,050 health, and armed with a devastating gatling gun that can quickly eliminate unprepared raiders. To defeat them (and secure Bastion Cells), you need to target their weak spots and use the right strategy-charging in blindly will almost certainly lead to failure.

The Bastion's primary weak spots are its yellow leg joints and the yellow cylinder (rear canister) on its back. Shooting these areas deals critical damage: destroying a leg joint or rear canister stuns the Bastion temporarily, giving you a window to land more shots. Destroying the rear canister also peels back its rear plate, revealing an even more vulnerable barrel-like weak spot that deals massive damage when hit.

For weapons, prioritize armor-piercing options. The Hull Cracker grenade launcher is the best choice-it's highly effective against the Bastion's thick plating and can be purchased from Tian Wen for 30,000 coins or crafted after completing "The Major's Foot Locker" quest. If you don't have the Hull Cracker, a fully upgraded Ferro rifle works, but the fight will take longer.

Grenades are also powerful tools: Blaze Grenades and Deadline devices are particularly effective. A Deadline deployed near the Bastion's rear canister can instantly defeat it, making it a game-changer for solo raiders. Always bring healing items (medkits or syringes) to recover from the Bastion's gatling gun barrages.
